I only used the Market cache to sd card because there is no real way of removing the cache unless you run out the space on your phone. Basically, I always have around 46-48megs free since I did the market cache. I didnt do the browser cache because I can just clear it using the apps/clear browser cache instead of having to use the term to clear it off the sd card.
Can (how) one Putty/WinSCP into the G1...?
I can't do it cause it says "cd: can't cd to cd /data/data/com.android.browser/cache"
I fail on the first step. Why would it say that? Is there a fix? Something I'm doing wrong? I typed su for root beforhand and got the # symbol.

Im sure this will help out. I did it and it worked flawlessly.
That is exactly what I was looking for.
Now does anyone kmow of an easy to understand tutorial for using ADB shell? I use it and nothing gets changed on the sdcard ever. Even though it ask for super white list permission when I type SU in adb shell. Can anyone help? Should I make a new thread?
ok i moved my caches to the mem card and now the market will not load. or it just takes forever.
anyone know how to put the caches back onto the phone memory?
