Does anyone know how to stopped the G1 from going to the regular page instead of the mobile page.
I access MSNBC.com fine during the latest RC30 release. About a week ago, my G1 keeps going to the mobile page for MSNBC.com. I have cleared out the internet files, history, and cookies but no such luck.
With ESPN mobile page, at least you can still go to the regular ESPN.com page from the mobile ESPN page.
It's probably something that MSNBC changed on their side. In order to get around it, we'd have to have a browser that spoofed the browser's agent string and made it look like a normal browser requesting a page.
Yeah I checked mine and it goes to the mobile site, it didn't used to. I also just had my friend check the same site on his iPhone and it did the same thing, it's not an issue with the G1 browser, MSN must have changed something on their end to send the webkit browser to the mobile site, since the G1 and the iPhone use the same browser it would affect both.

This is why I hate Opera Browser on the G1.
My advice... search MSNBC on Google and open the "Cached Page".. it works.

The Opera Browser opens everything in the mobile page for some reason.
I've noticed that for Hotmail, that I cannot open the WAP version if I'm using WiFi, only 3G. My Dominos pizza order also failed on WiFi. When I switched over to 3G, it was fine.
Definitely some wierdness there.
