Sidekick's old Creator At android??
Wow, i found this article while googling sidekick2009, (ha, just to see if theres going to be another one! lol.)

While they are not giving reasons as to why they are buying Danger, I am guessing that the user experience on Danger is a key factor. Danger, as you might recall, is the company behind T-Mobile’s Sidekick device, and was started by Andy Rubin, now leading the Android charge over at Google. The company raised over $134 million in venture funding from the likes of Mobius and Redpoint Ventures. But it would be cool to see a microsoft powered Sidekick, but i wouldnt get it... Like i said b4, im not getting a sidekick Again untill it turn's touch screen, O Wait, It Did, g1! lmao :]

yeah, he's the baldish dude with the glasses that you see everywhere concerning android, he spoke at the conference as well.
