It's a thing. I can't help but think we'll start to see Android OS devices galore once the credit market loosens up and economies are off of life support.

I might be able to afford a next-gen Android device if I get a job before 2010. Here's hoping!

Their devices would likely never grace these shores anyhow. Every new user and new device that gets on Android though, is good for us. Unless their the like epic fail tards you find on the market...

Huawei is one of the biggest mobile equipment manufacturers in the world, from China. They're extensively involved in new network rollouts and upgrades for a number of major telecom operators around the world that have regional presences, such as Singapore Telecommunications and Etisalat, among others.

Huawei is also a strong player in the 3G modems market. And, IIRC, they build phones for Vodafone, using the network's brand.
