coems with a 1gb card..will use up to a 8gb...but software should change it to 16 as the rumours say

Its as simple as a firmware upgrade. Weather we see one or not is a different story.

16gb card is on the way. Sandisk did announce the 16gb sdhc coming in late october or early November. I'm not sure about the firmware update anytime soon especially in time before the 16gb card coming out. The 16gb cards are going to be $99, which isn't bad and also just in time right before the holidays.

If you happend to see the Shiny preview of the g1 on youtube, the girl does say that it comes with a 2gb memory card.

also, just save your pennies for the 16gb memory card, the one that will be sent to your door on the 22nd will be able to take it. if you havnt checked out the main page, it says so a couple of posts down.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was already confirmed in an update that 16gb cards will work on the g1 out of the box.
