I am creating this thread to track progress of the Sprint Android phone. Sprint is supposedly the next carrier to release an Android phone here in the US.
The only available info is it will be out late 08/early 09, and it will be different than the G1.
That's it. Pretty weak!
If you come across any further info please post it here!
Thanks
Take this with a huge grain of salt. But I have heard rumor of a phone made by Samsung with a front facing keyboard and touchscreen. That's all of the details that I know, ETA also late 08, early 09. I want one really bad as there is no tmobile 3G in my area, but I get perfect EVDO REV. A. So come on Sprint!!!
If sprint made it, you can be assured that it will look sleek but will be heavily sprintified. Tons of SPRINT only applications, Sprint TV will definitely be there and I bet instead of Amazon it'll have the Sprint Music Store. You'll probably have to go with the (more expensive) Everything plan for $99, too. Add to that their horrid customer service, i'd rather be with T-Mo for two years then sign another with Sprint just for a phone.
But then again this is all speculation, anything can happen.

I wish T-Mo had a $99 Everything plan...
Does the Everything plan include minutes?
1000 Minutes + Unlimited Nights and Weekends My Faves Family Plan for three lines, plus unlimited data and text is going to cost me only $140 a month.
We don't even talk that much, I myself have only used up 200 minutes in an entire year![]()

I am a Sprint customer already so I won't need to switch. I have had good service with Sprint. Their EVDO 3G network is top notch. I can't even remember the last time I was on 1xRTT.
Like I posted in another thread, I have 2 Centros on my plan, with 1500 minutes and unlimited everything. I pay 100 bucks for both lines. I am hoping I can keep my plan the same when the Android phone hits. (My wife will keep her Centro)
