Default Symbian exec talks smack about Google's Android

This is a bold statement from John Forsyth, vice president of strategy at Symbian.
John Forsyth, vice president of strategy at Symbian, the platform that powers many of the world's phones, said Google lacked experience.

Wait a minute, weren't there similar comments made about Apple lacking experience in the handset area? And wait...if memory serves me right, isn't Nokia/S60 literally copying the iPhone in their future release of Symbian S60 OS?

Experience or not, Google has more money than God (capable of gobbling up any companies they so desire), armed with 30+ leading companies around the world --- will no doubt guarantee Android's success.

I'm no Linux guru or expert, but what I do know is that Android offers all the necessary components (or stacks) required to power a handset. Unlike other mobile Linux initiatives.

It seems a crazy attitude to take - even ARM, who are arguably one of the key players in smartphone development (and conspicuously absent in this first round of OHA announcements), have held back from bad-mouthing Android.

I'm thinking it's all a case of anxiety causing verbal diarrhea...
