Turn Android mini-USB from audio output to audio input?

Hello,

Not sure if this has been addressed on a previous post, but I'm looking to record my band's practice and we typically take sound from our mixing board and hook up a 1/8" cable from the mixer to the audio input on my Macbook.

My G1 has the capability of plugging in a mini-USB to 1/8" jack so that I can put in my headphones to listen to music. Has anyone figured out a way to reverse that feed so that instead of an audio output from the phone, the G1 can record audio via 1/8" cable into the mini USB? That way, recording audio on the G1 would be much more clear.

Not possible right now. not sure if the hardware will support such a thing.
