Default **video tutorial from stock rc-30 to a rooted jf rc-30 v1.31**

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you mess up your phone in any shape or form, this is for reference purposes. I highly doubt you can mess up your phone and I recommend downloading ASTRO and doing a back up on your apps in case you have an app that was pulled from the Market.

Hello all, this is a video tutorial on how to go from your original rc30 back down to rc29 and go back up to rooted jf rc30 v1.31. I hope this video will show you how easy it is to do this and have some of you who are on the fence to take the jump!
This is the link I referenced during the video:http://www.webnetta.com/2009/01/02/t...rc30-to-jfv13/

Thanks for all the developers that were able to make this happen. Following the method I did in the video, I was able to root 4 G1s without a problem. Thanks for watching.

    Nice Hyper,

    The video turned out decent...

This should help so many people out, especially those who might need visuals

One minor step to add. After telnet, DISCONNECT from computer. A "safe removal" from the computer side will not release the memory card. This causes the subsequent cat command to error out. Disconnecting from the computer will cause the SD card to remount to the phone. I use XP, maybe that's the different. Other than that, this is awesome! You will help a LOT of people

the only thing that could be changed in the video is using the sdcard reader... ( some folks dont have access to one, and you can do the same using the g1 as reader instead - saves a couple of steps, but I understand were you are coming from )...
