Hello all, this is a video tutorial on how to go from your original rc30 back down to rc29 and go back up to rooted jf rc30 v1.31. I hope this video will show you how easy it is to do this and have some of you who are on the fence to take the jump!

One minor step to add. After telnet, DISCONNECT from computer. A "safe removal" from the computer side will not release the memory card. This causes the subsequent cat command to error out. Disconnecting from the computer will cause the SD card to remount to the phone. I use XP, maybe that's the different. Other than that, this is awesome! You will help a LOT of people![]()
the only thing that could be changed in the video is using the sdcard reader... ( some folks dont have access to one, and you can do the same using the g1 as reader instead - saves a couple of steps, but I understand were you are coming from )...
