I am not mad that it isn't there, but think it would come in handy for quick responses to im's and text messages.

It does not bother me that there is no virtual keyboard.

And like with anything new, there is always going to be a learning curve involved.

But it would be nice to have it to quickly respond to text messages.

i like the fact that its not on there because then you get the option of having it (by downloading an app in the future) or not having it.

I can't be mad or happy about this type of app, but it could be useful as an option for very short entries.

I'm more likely to use the keyboard for quick stuff and get a larger keyboard for on the fly doc creation once the apps for that come through. But since I've not used this type of touch screen before I will have to learn what I like. I know I liked graffiti on the palm, but preferred to use a real keyboard for both the efficiency and the geek panache.

I have an iphone too and its lags sometimes. I didn't like the iphone keyboard at first, but like everything its not that hard to get used to. I plan on installing a virtual keyboard on my G1 just to have the extra option if needed.
