This is my first post and I was wondering if the Palm Pre is successful will that cause Google to add multitouch to future devices.
One Word: AssPPLE
Actually there are some multitouch features implemented in atleast the jf rooted builds.
Its currently only in the browser, but it turns out the stock zoom buttons work better (atleast for me)
From what I heard Apple actually asked Google not to have multi-touch in android. Now that palm pre has it and Im sure WinMo will have it, will google go ahead and jump the band wagon? As the previous poster said, JF's build does show that android is capable of doing it.
If Palm and the Zune HD are using multitouch it is hard for Google to justify not having it enabled out of the box on Android phones.
Just look at the new HTC Hero commercial. In the first minute there is a section when you see a picture and it's touched 2 times to expand or view the picture in the phone full resolution (sorry about my english).
future android devices will most likely have the capability of true multi-touch but only if the device handset hardware specs allow android to utilize that capability.
