It's a mystery question that I guess will only be answered when the device arrives at my doorstepI only just switched everything over in hopes that it'd work -- someone posted it would on another website:

Yes, precious...my Transformer is almost here...now if only T-mobile would roll out Gingerbread for my G2 already!!
This to me is worth tracking down an authoritative answer if possible. Will people who use gmail for their domain get their email pushed to the G1? Will they have all funtionality of regular @gmail accounts? Who's got contacts at G?

I received a response back from Google Apps tech support stating that personal domains hosted via Google Apps are fully supported by Android, and on the G1. I emailed back, confirming they understood the question, and asked again if I'd be able to use my personal domain, hosted on Google Apps, to log into and sync with my G1 -- a prompt response confirmed that yes, personal domains would have the same functionality as @gmail accounts.
I hope they do to, but, they more than make up for it with other features. I've been using Gmail for almost a week now, and would have a hard time switching back to Outlook/Exchange. Being able to search through and add public calendars with local events, holidays, etc. is very slick. Those colored labels, filtering, archiving, and threading of the email client are great. I know a lot of it is also in Outlook, but it's more complext to use than Gmail.
