Default Comcast to offer 22MBps and 50MBps by the end of 08

I have found very exciting news: Comcast will be upgrading the speed of high-speed internet services. "Slower" option will be 22MBps and the faster option will be 50MBps...

More then 10 millions of customers will experience faster high speed internet by the end of the 08. Read More

I'm happy to report that both options are available right now.

What kind of upstream speeds? I'm paying 100/mo. right now for biz class with a few static IP's, and while my upstream "isn't bad" it certainly could be a little better. What I'd REALLY like to see improved, is the peering agreements. I'm in Houston, and I have to go through Dallas to go anywhere. My ping times to anywhere in the Houston area are OVER 100ms !! That's garbage if you ask me.
