One of my former Computer Science Professors did a podcast that I found insightful and informative which can be found here:

He goes into a variety of different topics. one thing I think that is going to be awesome about Android is the way it opens up possibilities of how a lot the issues he discusses could be addressed. The application Locale, for instance, will be effective in addressing a lot of the concerns he brings up.

The iphone, on the other hand, is extremely limited in innovating a lot of these solutions due to its closed and nazi like nature. In fact, these limits to the iphone, imo, is one of the greatest victories of the sex industry concerning mobile devices. This was, in fact, a major deal breaker for me in getting one. I have high hopes for Android though.
