The very mention of the word 'Android' seems to have Steve Jobs quaking in his italian leather boots

hahaha the're shook it's makes sense now that google is a direct threat with the nexus 1
i got a 2g iphone and unlocked it...i like how smooth the UI is, and the pinch zoom is 100X smoother than that on the nexus or other hacked android devices with multi touch. why can't new phones have better multi touch. -_-

The pinch-zoom is so smooth with the Google multitouch OTA, 100x smoother than the hacked multitouch was back in the day. It's like butter in my browser, even better than the iPhone IMHO.

Yep, the pinch/zoom on the official update works exactly the same as the iPhone....and just like the iPhone, pinch/zoom SUCKS. I am SO happy they left the zoom in/out buttons in place so you can zoom the old way, makes the browser so much more user friendly. Pinch/zoom annoys me to use.

Agreed. The biggest advantage the Android browser has had over the iPhone in my opinion is reading. When you zoom into an article on the Android browser, the text autoformats so you can read the entire thing without having to scroll right and left to finish every sentence. The iPhone browser doesn't do that, which makes reading on the iPhone browser next to useless. The new multitouch update on the Nexus makes it work like the iPhone browser which annoys me to death lol. I pinch to zoom in, then have to hit a zoom button in or out to format the text to make it readable. No thanks...
