Post the closest thing to visual voice mail for now...

YOUMAIL is awesome ok not awesome, to register go to http://www.youmail.com/home/index.do and it is free!!!!!!!! but it will use ur text message plan...

is not as handy as visual voice mail, but some other features help...
just installed and it seems to work fine, i like the text message with the persons name, time, account location, provider, phone number and duration of the voice mail. also a link to go online and listen to it, from the G1 it will open your browser and you download it as a music, you can use it as a ringtone too, also once you have added a contact to your list when that person call you and it goes to the voice mail it will greet the caller by his or her name and you can customize any contact with a different greeting so there is no need to use same greeting for everybody(nice) you can import all your contacts from basically any account:

yep, it will send u a text message or e-mail or both it depends on how u set it up, with: name, phone number, location of the provider, service provider, date, time and voice mail duration...

I've been using Youmail for a few days now and it works great for me. As soon as I get a message, all of the caller info pushed to my email including the mp3 of the voicemail message. This works better for me than Grandcentral or (Phone Fusion?) because I do not need to give any of my contacts a brand new phone number. I would at least suggest giving it a try.

I have been use youmail.I like it. But the worst thing is that it doesn't notify you like mobile carrier when u'll get a new voicemail. It send u a msg or email.those people who doesn't have unlimited sms plz think before using it.Before. don't have unlimited sms and I was worried bout ma bill. Now I have G1 plus service and youmail is worthy for me.It would be great if we cud replace tmobile Voicemail notification with youmai.
