Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's that bad, and with the Snap Photo app it gets better. Perhaps you need to be more patient with it.
I don't expect it to be like my SLR, just good enough for some snap shots.

To be honest if you wanted a Camera you should have bought a camera. Although i don't really see anything wrong with the G1's camera, ok it's not amazing, but at least it takes pictures!

With enough light, you can get some really good pictures even with the default. two things needed for a good picture on the g1, light and an steady hand otherwise it looks like ****.
