The G1 camera stinks

Nothin wrong with my camera!! heres proof, & some of these were taken in low light because it was closing time! I think its lack of common sense & just plain old user error! I must be a "fanboy" because my camera is as good as I expected. Heres a hint for you guys(no flash + low light = bad pics).

I don't think anyone is arguing no flash + low light = bad pics. The single item that is so terrible is the so called "shutter lag" it is so excessive, maybe 20 sec or so. In this day and age that is inexcusable.

Let me address this fanboy thing once and for all....
Of the 11,000+ members (5000+ active) here on AC some of us have been around more than 2 weeks and have already read the more than 112,000 posts on this site on all topics about our phone. And while most of us are truly happy to help a new fellow G1 owner out with questions, it gets especially tedious when you join our community and the first thing you have to say is a negative statement that has been posted and agreed with over a hundred times. The g1 has a crappy camera? Oh that's late breaking news? What do you mean had I used the search button, I would have found the 23 threads on this topic already? You mean I would have found out one of our members was fed up with the camera too and wrote a 5 star application on the Market to address some of these issues?(Thanks Bratag) Plain and simple, it's like this, first impressions count. Don't be the member seen as only having joined to complain. Nobody likes that guy. If you have something to say, please do. That's what we are here for. If there is any question on board ettiquette, remember the golden rule....don't fart at a tea party.

Do: Hey guys, my camera isn't what I expected, I'm having (specific problem) and I used the search but couldn't find the answer. Help?
Don't: The G1 sucks. The camera sucks. I'm going back to my (other crappy phone that's the reason I went to the G1 in the first place).
Feel the difference?

thank you Bratag ! the only app on the market worth buying ( for the time being ) . and , by the way , the camera isnt bad at all . you just have to know how to use it . mine takes wonderful pictures ! Bratags snap photo pro makes it even better ( continuous shoot is also a nice camera app to have )

I don't get this topic...when you say it 'stinks', what do you mean?
Stinks = reference to the smell of something. It really depends where you have dropped your phone, mine smells perfectly new.
