I ordered mine on OCT 1st, I can't get my tracking number as of now and when I called T-Mobile my order status is still saying " Your order is on back order". Is that bad? Has anyone else that had a back order status checked theirs recently?

Everyone so far with tracking numbers WAS at backorder, but that was just standard for all Pre-Orders of the G1. I'm sure your tracking number will pop up soon enough

A lot of people have gotten that, including myself. I spoke to a TMO CS the other day and they said thats just what they put for orders that haven't been released yet (pre-orders). So don't worry, she assured me I'd still get my phone by the 23rd

From what I am seeing, none of us on the east coast have tracking numbers yet. It does seem like they are going by region.

I am really trying to convice myself this is why and that my tracking number will pop up anytime. I have to do something to make myself feel better. I tried going to t-mobile, still down. I called 611 and it still says it is on backorder.

The suspense is truly, truly killing me.

I just checked UPS using my phone number as a reference and finally got a tracking number ! The shipping date was October 14, 2008.

Whew! Thanks that makes me feel a lot better! The suspense is killing me. The time between now and when I receive my G1 is going to go by slow as hell

I dont think you guys near big cities have to worry if your numbers arent showing up- i think i only got mine because i'm in colorado springs- no ports, no hubs, no real airport... we got denver, but thats it for miles and miles... i think they are doing it that way to make sure they all get where theyer going on time. Mine even said 3 day select, its probably because my nearest major hub is near dallas.. No worries, it will show up. You guys in the large cities will probably still get your before me!

Anyone notice what location the phones are coming from?

I have a tracking number, and a ship date of Oct. 14, but no ETA of delivery or where it is in route from.
