    Default wireless headphones

anyone out here have a set? i work construction and walk around my jobsites alot. the bluetooth on the g1 cuts in and out even while in my pocket and i can't deal with it anymore. i've seen sets that can transmit up to 150 feet which would be ideal for me. i'm thinking of this...lock phone in my work truck. or just place it in a safe spot on my jobsite. use my 3in1 adapter and run a 3.5 to 3.5mm adapter to the transmitter. do most wireless headphones use 3.5mm? or is it 1/4 like a stereo reciever? how is the signal as far as passing through objects? will i always have to be exactly in line of sight? even bluetooth gives you a little play going around corners and such. any brand i should look for? i'm looking to spend around $100. or, i may just get a pair of skullcandy double agents which you can place an sdcard into. i'm just not sure how good they sound. thanks in advance for any replies.

I had this same problem when I was looking for a good set of wireless headphones. The main thing you want to stay away from are IR headphones, because you have to be in the line of sight for them to work properly. RF headphones solve that problem, but then you have the problem of interference with any thing that uses the same frequency. I finally settled on the Sennheiser RS140 headphones. They sound good, good bass, good clarity, and good quality. They have a 3.5/6.3mm jack (1/8"-1/4"adapter) on the transmitter. The Headphones use NiMH rechargeable batts. The only thing is you will have to have access to plug in the base, which I think you do. Sennheiser also has the RS110, RS120, and RS130 models too. I bought mine off Ebay for $120.00.

No problem. One thing to look out for is the 130 has a open back design which allow outside noise in, and the 140 has the closed back which keep noise out. Depends if your around a lot of power tools or not.

oh,yes it is. it's just the g1. i can't even put the damn phone in my back pocket, the signal breaks up. it is much better on other phones. i could go much further while keeping a signal.

definitely. i just hooked my bt headphones up to my tytn which has been sitting in my junk drawer. i paired and walked into other rooms of the house. i got much better reception than the g1. i had sound around corners and in other rooms of the house 15 feet away. where as the g1 breaks up in 10 feet and the minute you go out of line of sight. horrible.
